Val d’Isere, France
The chic resort of Val d’Isère is known for its lively après, festival-filled calendar and world-class slopes.
Making up one half of the Espace Killy ski area, it has access to 300km of piste and high-altitude skiing on the Grande Motte glacier.
Characterised by traditional log cabins, a family-friendly atmosphere and Arctic activities, Ruka truly is a winter wonderland.
It’s home to the largest beginners ski area in Finland, along with two snowparks and a boardercross course, as well as an assortment of quiet slopes and lifts that stay open late.
Passo Tonale, Italy
The high-altitude Italian resort of Passo Tonale has plenty of quiet, gentle slopes to suit beginners and intermediates, as well as challenging runs on the Presena Glacier.
